Yesterday on Independence Day, the new 2014 Chevy Silverado debuted a marketing campaign centered around the strength of the pickup truck and its owners. The campaign features an original song called “Strong” by Grammy-nominated recording artist Will Hoge.
The campaign began exclusively in Texas, where one in every six pickup trucks are sold in the United States. It will then expand across the United States within the next couple of weeks. Keep your eye out for the new Silverado commercial and listen closely to the “Strong” song lyrics.
We, at Dave White Chevy, think the song symbolizes the Silverado well and is representative of the typical Silverado owner- strong, dependable, hardworking, and capable of their trucks.
Tim Mahoney, Global Chevrolet chief marketing officer said, “Chevrolet has a long-standing relationship with music, and Chevys have been mentioned in more than 800 popular songs. The lyrics to ‘Strong’ were inspired by the Silverado and the people who drive them. We think this original song and our all-new Silverado harmonize perfectly.” We couldn’t agree more.
Here is a sneak-peek at the song and the marketing campaign that will premier in the Midwest soon:
